Comments: Sonic wasn't up against the NES Super Mario Bros. when it was released. It was up against the SNES title Super Mario World which featured some of the hottest gameplay mechanics and graphics of its time. Can Sonic fly? All I'm saying is if you're going to be a fanboy you shouldn't be afraid to compare Sonic to whatever it was in closest competition with at the time of its release.
